This past week has been completely crazy. You may have noticed that I have only posted a couple of new articles on my site; whereas I normally write at least 4 or 5 on a typical week. Well, last week my wife and I embarked on a new adventure. We packed up all of our belongings and moved across the state. Needless to say, it didn’t leave much time for careful planning and article writing.

Don’t worry though. I am currently getting back into my financial conscious self. I have begun a new book, and am learning many new things that I wish to share with you soon!

Goals Update

Goals to hit by the end of February, 2011

  • 4% find my site by search engines
  • 250 Twitter followers
  • 60 subscribers
  • Make $20 via Adsense

Current Stats

  • 7.82% found my site by search engines (fairly constant)
  • 277 Twitter followers (up from 254 last week)
  • 47 subscribers (up 3 from last week)
  • Made $6.05 via Adsense so far (I made $0 last week)

Summary

I was not able to dedicate much time to my website this week, and the numbers clearly show this. My dollars earned via Adsense my subscribers, and the search engine percents have not improved. And, the Twitter followers increased on momentum from the previous week.

We are currently bunking with our friends while we are looking for an apartment to rent (temporarily until we buy a place), so keeping up with the website may continue to be difficult. Hopefully, I will be able to focus on it more often than I think.

By the end of the month, I would like to increase the stats on each of the 4 categories. I think the Adsense income will be a bust, but I’m going to work at getting it up to at least $10. All of the other goals should be attainable (subscribers will be a stretch though).

Stay posted. There should be some great stuff to come.

AUTHOR Derek

My name is Derek, and I have my Bachelors Degree in Finance from Grand Valley State University. After graduation, I was not able to find a job that fully utilized my degree, but I still had a passion for Finance! So, I decided to focus my passion in the stock market. I studied Cash Flows, Balance Sheets, and Income Statements, put some money into the market and saw a good return on my investment. As satisfying as this was, I still felt that something was missing. I have a passion for Finance, but I also have a passion for people. If you have a willingness to learn, I will continue to teach.
