For the last couple of weeks, I have been running a promotion – a $50 Amazon GiftCard Giveaway. It’s still going on until March 15, 2011 (so make sure to find the post and enter!).
Well, it seems that my Alexa Rank has gone as low as it can go (for now). My 1-month rank is around 130,000, so it’s evident that my 6 month ranking will begin to rise from 102,000 back up steadily. I don’t like it, but it was bound to happen sometime. As I continue to write quality articles, I hope that this Alexa rank will continue to go down, and ultimately get below 100,000!
I really hoped that this promtion would skyrocket my subscriber numbers, and it did somewhat, but I’m still hovering around 60 subscribers instead of the 100 I was looking for. In the future, I think I will continue to depend on my quality articles to bring in new subscribers.
While my promotion did not work quite as well as I had hoped, I do have some exciting news about the Yakezie network. I have finally become a beta member and have my website listed on their Network of Blogs. This should really help my stats and readership!
I am starting to get some advertising offers because of the popularity of my site, and I have actually turned some down because their business would not help my readers with their walk to debt freedom. The first offer that made sense was a debt consolidation group. When individuals are facing bankruptcy, I would much rather that they attempt to consolidate their debt than go into bankruptcy. So, you’ll be seeing an add up on my site for a while, and I’m going to gauge how it goes, to see if it will continue to be up on my site.
Once again, along with writing my own articles, I have read other finance blogs as well! Here are some interest articles from my read.

My name is Derek, and I have my Bachelors Degree in Finance from Grand Valley State University. After graduation, I was not able to find a job that fully utilized my degree, but I still had a passion for Finance! So, I decided to focus my passion in the stock market. I studied Cash Flows, Balance Sheets, and Income Statements, put some money into the market and saw a good return on my investment. As satisfying as this was, I still felt that something was missing. I have a passion for Finance, but I also have a passion for people. If you have a willingness to learn, I will continue to teach.
