I hope those are educational video games! I might be a little nerdy, but I always wanted a video game where I could walk around and appraise the value of properties, then purchase the deals and rent them out for a passive income. Essentially, I guess it would be a real estate investment game.

I recently heard a report about those K-cup single serve coffee cups. Did you know that buying those, you are paying about $51 per pound of coffee!? Does not seem very financially responsible to me, when you can get decent ground coffee at the store for about $8-10 per pound.
If I won, I would buy some not so normal necessites. Maybe a kitchen gadget or three.

It would go straight in our “rescue a new dog” fund! We lost both our dogs this last year and have been saving up for a new dog, but would like to be able to make a significant donation to the rescue group.

Instead of taking out cash for diapers and baby supplies for a few weeks, I would order it from amazon and then transfer the cash I would have spent into our savings account.

I already commented, but I wanted to comment again just to throw out there that I save a ridiculous amount of money by cloth-diapering. Bought some old-fashioned chinese prefolds and some cute little covers and they paid for themselves in like a month

oops! I imagine my bank won’t take a gift card. Then, I’d probably get something I need, like a new pair of shoes for the gym.

So, now I feel silly looking my comment. I realized I cannot put the gift card in my emergency fund, unless I did a cash conversion, so that’s what I would do. I would spend it on something I would normally have had to spend on (ink cartridges come to mind), then put the money in the emergency fund.
