As many of you know, I am making an aggressive effort to improve this website and increase readership by the end of February, 2011. Here are the goals I set for myself.

Goals for the end of February, 2011

  • Alexa Rank: Under 200,000
  • Subscribers: 50
  • Twitter Followers: 200

Current Numbers

  • Current Alexa Rank: 206,339 (was 262,560 last week)
  • Subscribers: 34 (was 29 last week)
  • Twitter Followers: 134 (was 113 last week)

My Alexa Rank numbers are still dropping like a rock (which is a good thing)! I’m pretty sure I can sleep-walk past the 200,000 rank by the beginning of next week.

I still need 16 subscribers to reach my goal of 50; and I still need 66 Twitter followers to hit 200.

I did not expect to hit any of these goals until February, but it looks like I’ll hit one of them for sure by next week! In light of this, I have decided to make a push to hit these goals by the end of this month! In the next 15 days, my goal is to earn 16 more subscribers and 66 more Twitter followers!

AUTHOR Derek

My name is Derek, and I have my Bachelors Degree in Finance from Grand Valley State University. After graduation, I was not able to find a job that fully utilized my degree, but I still had a passion for Finance! So, I decided to focus my passion in the stock market. I studied Cash Flows, Balance Sheets, and Income Statements, put some money into the market and saw a good return on my investment. As satisfying as this was, I still felt that something was missing. I have a passion for Finance, but I also have a passion for people. If you have a willingness to learn, I will continue to teach.

  1. Thanks for including my post, if nothing else maybe you can have a little giveaway to get those final subscribers to complete the final push. I’m already subscribing but I’ll forward your site to a few of my friends. If nothing else, I bet I can get my wife to subscribe.

    • If you do get your friends to subscribe (or even your wife for that matter), then you’ll receive 5 entries for each of them! That could mean a free gift card for you! Just sayin… 🙂

    • Thanks! I’m really very excited. I think 100k is the next goal, but I really need to evaluate and decide where I’m going with this blog!
