The Winner of the $25 Amazon Gift Card


Happy February everyone! I hope it was a great January for all of you. Wow, the time goes fast. It seems like yesterday was New Years, and now it’s already February!

As most of you know, I have been running a promotional contest and all of my readers had a chance to win a $25 gift card. They could earn entries by subscribing to my site, referring a subscriber, following me on Twitter, leaving a comment with their 2011 goals, linking to my website, and for reviewing my website on At 11:59pm, January 31, there were a total of 222 entries! Thanks so much for entering everyone!

When I first started the contest, my website numbers were:

Only one month later, you all have helped my site grow with extreme speed! My numbers are now:

My name is Derek, and I have my Bachelors Degree in Finance from Grand Valley State University. After graduation, I was not able to find a job that fully utilized my degree, but I still had a passion for Finance! So, I decided to focus my passion in the stock market. I studied Cash Flows, Balance Sheets, and Income Statements, put some money into the market and saw a good return on my investment. As satisfying as this was, I still felt that something was missing.
