While I didn’t officially set any goals for April, I thought I’d still take the time to share my successes and challenges with this site. Moreover, I’m frankly just so excited to watch my subscriber numbers for LifeAndMyFinances.com! Right now, I have 988 people subscribing to the updates on this site. That means I’m just 12 people away from hitting that 4 digit mark of 1,000 subscribers! That’s just incredible! When I first started this site back in August, 2010, I would have been happy to have 20 subscribers, and now I’m shooting for 1,000. Crazy stuff.
Overall, I’m a pretty busy guy, but I never stop thinking about how I can make this site even better. I absolutely love helping people out with their personal finances, so expect to see some improvements on this site before the year is over.
While my site produces some wonderful articles, there are some other sites that provide some great financial information as well. Here are last week’s articles that caught my eye.

My name is Derek, and I have my Bachelors Degree in Finance from Grand Valley State University. After graduation, I was not able to find a job that fully utilized my degree, but I still had a passion for Finance! So, I decided to focus my passion in the stock market. I studied Cash Flows, Balance Sheets, and Income Statements, put some money into the market and saw a good return on my investment. As satisfying as this was, I still felt that something was missing. I have a passion for Finance, but I also have a passion for people. If you have a willingness to learn, I will continue to teach.
