Best Articles Around the Web

I don’t know how many of you were aware, but I got hitched yesterday! Woot woot! Since things have been crazy with wedding planning, work, and this site, I decided to pre-write this Sunday post for all of you fine folks. The only thing is, by the time I left to start setting up for the wedding, there really weren’t all that many quality articles out there yet. Instead of the typical four or five, I found only one that I really enjoyed.

So this is your post to do what you want with. Enjoy the one article below, but also be sure to leave a comment with your favorite article of all time! It could be from my site, from your own site, from Yahoo!, it doesn’t matter. Just leave a little snippit of what the article is about and paste the link. Thanks all! Don’t worry, I’ll be back soon!

The Bright Side of Having Little Money

by Little Buddha – I’m a minimalist at heart, so this title caught my eye. Maria and her sister had very little money and decided to start a business in New York City. With their low funds came an extreme amount of necessary transparency and humility, but they were able to make it through the tough times and actually came out as better people on the other side. This is a solid read that I think almost anyone would enjoy.

My name is Derek, and I have my Bachelors Degree in Finance from Grand Valley State University. After graduation, I was not able to find a job that fully utilized my degree, but I still had a passion for Finance! So, I decided to focus my passion in the stock market. I studied Cash Flows, Balance Sheets, and Income Statements, put some money into the market and saw a good return on my investment. As satisfying as this was, I still felt that something was missing. I have a passion for Finance, but I also have a passion for people. If you have a willingness to learn, I will continue to teach.
