5 Things You Can Do Daily That Will Save You Money

balancing life without feeling brokeSaving money is never fun and never easy, but there are some little things you can do to make this daily annoying routine a lot more pleasant. Therefore, bellow you will find my personal favorite five things you are totally welcome to try and discover that saving money is not that hard if you do it in tiny everyday steps and do it smart!

Leave your bank cards at home

One of the easiest ways to save money on a daily basis is to leave all the stuff like credit or debit cards at home and hit stores only with cash. By doing that, you will stay within your budget and never go over it since you will be able to spend only that amount of money you brought with yourself. Moreover, you will be able to see how much money you have in your wallet easier. So you can control your spending more efficiently and save money easier as well.

If you shop online – clear your browsing history

If you are a modern shopper and enjoy e-shopping industry more than anything, then this tip is for you. Many internet retailing specialists agree that just by simply clearing your browsing history you will increase your chances to save money and not overspend on everything you wish to purchase on the web.

In fact, those innocent “cookies” you agree on while surfing the web mean that you let retailers and marketers collect information about the stuff you are looking for on the web. Then they do the trick called “dynamic pricing” and offer you products at bigger prices! Avoid that easily by clearing your browsing history and cookies or better start shopping via incognito mode your browsers offers and save money just like that!

Leave shopping carts at the door

Then I heard about this trick I was really surprised how I haven’t heard about it before. It is so simple and yet so genius! By simply not taking a shopping cart with you then you visit a store you won’t overspend, avoid all impulsive purchases and definitely buy only those things you really need!

All that just because you will be forced to carry everything with your hands. Therefore, the more products you take, and the less place is left and so the more uncomfortable you feel walking around the store with hands full of various stuff. So really – if you want to purchase just a few products you need in a grocery store and want to save money – skip shopping carts and I bet that you will save tons!

Since couponing is one of the easiest and also one of the quickest ways how to save money, you should definitely try out it as well. And since there are millions of those coupons both online and offline, there won’t be any problem for you to find them and use them right away!

I always take coupons at ChameleonJohn as an excellent example how much you can save just within a few clicks online even if you are shopping for high-quality and designer made clothing! While ordinary coupons you can use in-stores are also easy to find in your local newspapers or online. So maybe spend some time, get all the coupons you wish for and embrace couponing for once – you will be amazing how much you can save!

Remember that you have a smartphone with you

Smartphones are one of the best inventions ever, and you should remember that then you are heading to shop as well. Not to forget that your smartphones can become an alternative instrument tuner and your universal remote!

For instance, then you are shopping in stores, always Google the product’s name and find other places where you can find it a lot cheaper. This online price comparison will surely help you save money and always find the most discounted products too. So just don’t forget that your smartphone is smart for a reason – to assist you and to help you. Use that as much as possible to get the best results just for you!

My name is Derek, and I have my Bachelors Degree in Finance from Grand Valley State University. After graduation, I was not able to find a job that fully utilized my degree, but I still had a passion for Finance! So, I decided to focus my passion in the stock market. I studied Cash Flows, Balance Sheets, and Income Statements, put some money into the market and saw a good return on my investment. As satisfying as this was, I still felt that something was missing. I have a passion for Finance, but I also have a passion for people. If you have a willingness to learn, I will continue to teach.

  1. These are great tips Derek. In terms of cell phone usage, I save quite a bit of money with the Amazon app. As an obsessive bookworm, when I find a book I like I can quickly scan the barcode, and often get it cheaper on Amazon. Even better if I can find a second hand copy there!

    • Yup, I’ve been doing the same thing lately while hunting down a new printer! I finally found a decent one for just $37! Way better than spending $80 at Best Buy!

  2. I always make a list when I go to the grocery store so that I head just for those sections and buy just what I need, so no impulse buying.

    • Yup, it is pretty easy to impulse buy these days. Sticking to the list is a must!
