  1. Getting out of consumer debt is one of the best things I ever did.

No more payments! No more bondage! No more hassles. I could spend my money however I wanted without any future obligation!

I’ll never go back in debt.

Are you ready to get out? What’s your goal?

    • Honestly, I don’t have any consumer debt. Never have. However, these student loans are another story!

      • Crazy fact here… student loans ARE consumer debt! Do you have a plan to get rid of those bad boys?! Here’s my free debt snowball calculator so you can work out a plan to pay those off as quickly as possible! Let me know if you need any help!

  2. I used the debt snowball method to tackle all my student loans. This gave me the motivation to keep paying it down as I saw debt slowly disappear. I worked 2 jobs to make extra student loan payments in my early years after graduation and the hard work and sacrifice paid off. The day that I finished paying off my student loans, I was dancing on cloud nine and wrote a letter to thank the student loan company for lending me money to finance my education because I couldn’t have done it without their help! Is that unheard of or what?😃

    • Nice job paying off the student loans!! It is SUUUCCCCHHHHHH a good feeling!

  3. The Credit Card Payoff Calculator linked below is awesome! I have started a couple of times, and you know stuff happens, like 2020! I have always paid more than the minimum payment, but after hoarding $$’s throughout 2020 I started again in January 2021. The added chart is super helpful. So far I have paid off 4 cards and working on the 5th one – soon-to-be credit card debt-free! So here is a big THANK YOU to Derek for creating it!

    • Great! I’m so glad it’s helping! Get rid of those credit cards. You won’t regret it!

  4. This is my hard-core goal this year. Tired of living with too much debt. I want it all gone ASAP!

    • YES!!! Do it!! Let me know if you ever need a cheerleader!

  5. I have been retired for 10 years now and although there are many things to help in retirement I have found my decision to have no debt at all was one of my best. No mortgage, no cars, no loans, no credit card debt. I know this is hard, especially the house debt but believe me, you can do it if you put your mind to it. It is one of the biggest ways to help yourself in retirement

    • Absolutely! And it really clears up your mind on all decisions you make. When you’ve got debt and payments, it can really cloud your long-term judgement! We’re totally debt free and couldn’t be happier!

  6. This one spoke to me.Consumer debt is a killer of financial freedom and should be avoided at all cost.
