You want a new car. You want a bigger house. You want a cottage on the lake. Miraculously, you get them all…..but….it’s not enough. You keep wanting more. You think, “If only I had that one thing, then I’d be happy.”
But that’s really not true is it?
I mean, how many times have you actually gotten what you desired and your happiness faded away almost as instantly as it came? Remember that new car that you bought? How much time passed before you really didn’t even care about it anymore? Was it worth the money that you sank into it? Probably not.
Our life’s desires are all a matter of perspective. If you want to be truly happy, start to consider the perspectives of others. Do this, and you might suddenly discover that you’re one of the luckiest people on earth.
If you’re currently in a mode of wanting, watch the YouTube clip below. Stop your wanting. Be grateful.
My name is Derek, and I have my Bachelors Degree in Finance from Grand Valley State University. After graduation, I was not able to find a job that fully utilized my degree, but I still had a passion for Finance! So, I decided to focus my passion in the stock market. I studied Cash Flows, Balance Sheets, and Income Statements, put some money into the market and saw a good return on my investment. As satisfying as this was, I still felt that something was missing. I have a passion for Finance, but I also have a passion for people. If you have a willingness to learn, I will continue to teach.
