Most of you probably know about the $50 Amazon gift card giveaway that started a couple of weeks ago. This promotion was pretty fun, and was very simple to enter! One of the ways to enter was to simply comment on any article within this site. One comment equaled one point, and you could rack up as many points as you want!

Betty N. sure made an excellent effort – she commented on about 40 different posts! Sadly, she did not win the drawing though. Thank you for being so active in this giveaway Betty! I hope to see your comments in the future as well (you never know, there may be another promotion coming soon).

During the course of the promotion, this site acquired 22 new subscribers! That’s an excellent increase, and I’m very happy with the results. It’s really inspiring me to grow this site even further! 🙂

I suppose you all have waited long enough. The winner of the $50 Amazon Gift Card is……. Arturom(@somethingsomething.something)! He (or she I suppose) became a subscriber on January 28, 2011 and was included in the drawing (as all of you were promised). Arturom, I have sent you an email to your subscription address. Please respond to it promptly so that I can award you with your prize.

If I fail to reach Arturom, I will remove his/her name from the drawing and award a new random winner.

This random pick was performed by using http://random.org.

Derek

AUTHOR Derek

My name is Derek, and I have my Bachelors Degree in Finance from Grand Valley State University. After graduation, I was not able to find a job that fully utilized my degree, but I still had a passion for Finance! So, I decided to focus my passion in the stock market. I studied Cash Flows, Balance Sheets, and Income Statements, put some money into the market and saw a good return on my investment. As satisfying as this was, I still felt that something was missing. I have a passion for Finance, but I also have a passion for people. If you have a willingness to learn, I will continue to teach.
