Do you set goals for yourself on a regular basis?

As many of you know, I enjoy setting goals for myself quite regularly and I actually share them with my readers as well! It’s pretty risky because occasionally, I have proven myself a failure, but at other times, the goals were met and I felt like I was on top of the world! Either way, the site improves and my readers have a great time coming along for the ride.

So, let’s check out what goals I set for myself by the end of this year, 2011.

Goals For The Rest of This Year, Through December 2011

I have set three major goals for myself and have them listed below. Take a look at my progress.

1) Continue to Write 3-4 Posts Per Week – Yep, did it again! Plus, many of the articles received a record amount of comments! I’m glad that you all liked the content. πŸ™‚

2) Develop a β€œResources” Page – Done.Β It’s called, Start Your Own Blog.

3) Write the eBook – There wasn’t a ton of work that got done on the eBook this week (I have a reason why – details are coming in tomorrow’s post!), but I am pretty deep into Chapter 4 and will most definitely get it done this weekend. If I really push hard today, I think I get get through most of Chapter 5 as well! I’ll let you know how it’s going next week. By the way, would you like a sneak peak at one of the chapter? (This section is colored red because I’m in danger of missing my target goal)

New Projects

If you’ve been following my blog this week, you’ve noticed that I announced one of my big projects! The site is called Online Money Bloggers, and it’s all about bloggers trying to take their site to the next level, and posting about how they plan to do so! It’s a great motivator for those that are involved in the site’s 30k Challenge, but it’s also a great resource for those that want to read blog posts about how to make money online! It really should be a big hit (actually, it already is, and it didn’t even officially launch yet)!

I do have a couple more projects up my sleeve. But I think that I’m going to keep those a secret for now! πŸ˜‰

AUTHOR Derek

My name is Derek, and I have my Bachelors Degree in Finance from Grand Valley State University. After graduation, I was not able to find a job that fully utilized my degree, but I still had a passion for Finance! So, I decided to focus my passion in the stock market. I studied Cash Flows, Balance Sheets, and Income Statements, put some money into the market and saw a good return on my investment. As satisfying as this was, I still felt that something was missing. I have a passion for Finance, but I also have a passion for people. If you have a willingness to learn, I will continue to teach.

    • I’m glad my goals are inspiring you! What are some of the things you’re trying to stay on target with? (just out of curiousity)

      • Mostly right now I am using December to get a jump start for my 2012 Goals.

However I am using this month to revise a book I wrote last year and it needs to be revised as I was not happy with the end results and want to drastically improve it.

I also am working on a few business plans

        Increasing Income opportunities

and a whole lot of researching at the moment πŸ™‚

        • Sounds awesome! You have quite a few projects for 2012! I’m challenging myself next year too – I can’t wait to start seeing the results of my labor! πŸ™‚

          • Your results will hit it out of the ball park beyond anything you could imagine Derek, you have that special inner drive that will make sure of it!

          • That’s what I’m hoping! I’ve got a lot of things in the works that could be very profitable next year!

    • The eBook is coming along! I just need to keep plugging away at it! πŸ˜‰

    • The eBook is titled, “The Debt-Free Degree”. It’s a guide on how to graduate from college without an ounce of debt! I can’t stand to see all of these young professionals forced into a crappy job because they need to make their loan payments. Those that are debt free coming out of college often have the best opportunities because they can afford to wait for the perfect opportunity!

  4. Thanks for the mention and it’s an honor to be in the 30k challenge Derek!

    • Glad to have you Jon! I’m anxious to see what plans you have for making your 30k! πŸ™‚

    • I do feel like I’m making some pretty good progress! We’ll see how everything works out in 2012. It’s shaping up to be a big year already! πŸ™‚

    • No problem! Glad to do it!

    • Online Money Bloggers is already a big hit. I can’t wait for it to really get under way! πŸ™‚

And yes, I am a Pat Flynn fan for sure!
