What are your top picks? What will you do the next time you have the urge to spend money?

Money Save Money

My name is Derek, and I have my Bachelors Degree in Finance from Grand Valley State University. After graduation, I was not able to find a job that fully utilized my degree, but I still had a passion for Finance! So, I decided to focus my passion in the stock market. I studied Cash Flows, Balance Sheets, and Income Statements, put some money into the market and saw a good return on my investment. As satisfying as this was, I still felt that something was missing. I have a passion for Finance, but I also have a passion for people. If you have a willingness to learn, I will continue to teach.

  1. Definitely sharing this one, Derek. SOLID list.

    • Glad you liked it Laura! Thanks goes to Kimberly!

  2. We have started volunteering at our local charity shop on Saturdays. I must tell you it has made a positive impact not only on our bank balance but also on our well being. Knowing you are helping others is so fulfilling.

    • That’s awesome! Good one Esthy!

  3. Solid list! One of my favorite activities is heading down to a nature park for a walk – relaxing and if you have a podcast at hand, then educating too 😀

    • Sounds like a great free event to me!

  4. I’m a bookworm, so I read a lot. I’m also going to start volunteering at the nursing home nearby.

    • Nice! Two great things to do instead of spending money!!
